After 17 years pitching in professional baseball, World Series Champion Mike Montgomery’s knowledge is extensive. He founded Strike38 with two goals in mind: to help pitchers develop on the mound, and to teach the lesser known strategies of pitching to help pitchers stay one step ahead.
Using the newest technology alongside of his almost two decades of experience, Mike aims to help the player maximize their velocity, their impact on the mound and contributions to the team. Available in-person in Scottsdale, Arizona or virtually, Mike is passionate about making the game enjoyable and sustainable for athletes.

Every pitcher’s mechanics are unique, and developing them is one of the keys to finding success. Mike works with each player to identify strengths and improve weaknesses on the mound.

The importance of developing an athlete’s mental skills can sometimes be overlooked, when in reality it is one of the most important things a player can do for himself. Mike had the privilege of working with Ken Ravizza, one of the top sports psychologists in the world, and has the tools to help players get - and stay - at the top of their mental game.

Being able to locate a pitch is great. Knowing when to throw it takes you to the next level. Having learned from one of the best, Mike prides himself on helping pitchers learn what pitches to throw, and when - including pitching sequences and scouting reports when applicable.

Mike is thrilled to be partnering with Dr. Nick Conte, a top sports trainer and PT, to ensure that the training each player receives is multifaceted. From movement strategies to targeted exercises, working with Mike and Dr. Conte will put the player in the best position possible to avoid physical injury while maximizing physical output.
